چکیده
The oral cavity constitutes a complex anatomical area that can be affected by many developmental, inflammatory, and tumoural diseases. MultiSlice Computed Tomography (MSCT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) currently represent the essential complementary imaging techniques for detecting abnormalities. Advanced MRI with diffusion-weighted (DWI) dynamic contrast-enhanced perfusion-weighted (DCE-PWI) has recently increased ability to characterise lesions distinguish disease recurrences from post therapy changes. analysis of via is also complicated both mutual close appositions different mucosal surfaces metal artifacts dental materials. Nevertheless, an exact identification made possible thanks manoeuvres specific stratagems applicable on MSCT acquisitions. This study summarises available diseases, particular attention role DWI, DCE-PWI, manoeuvres. We propose acquisition protocols accurate area.

Bimodal magnetic resonance imaging-computed tomography nanoprobes: A Review
Bimodal imaging combines two imaging modalities in order to benefit from their advantages and compensate the limitations of each modality. This technique could accurately detect diseases for diagnostic purposes. Nanoparticles simultaneously offer diagnostic data via various imaging modalities owing to their unique properties. Moreover, bimodal nanoprobes could be incorporated into theranostic s...
متن کاملArtifacts of Titanium, Zirconium, and Binary Titanium-Zirconium Abutments in Compute Tomography, Cone Beam Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Aim: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate imaging artifacts induced by Titanium, Zirconium, Titanium-Zirconium abutments in CT, MRI and CBCT imaging modalities. Methods: A 4×8mm titanium fixture was inserted in a dry human mandible. Titanium, Zirconium and Titanium–Zirconium abutments measuring 10.5 mm in height are located on the fixture, one by one. Each abutment was scan...
متن کاملComputed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings of Nasal Cavity Hemangiomas According to Histological Type
OBJECTIVE To compare computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings between two histological types of nasal hemangiomas (cavernous hemangioma and capillary or lobular capillary hemangioma). MATERIALS AND METHODS CT (n = 20; six pre-contrast; 20 post-enhancement) and MRI (n = 7) images from 23 patients (16 men and seven women; mean age, 43 years; range, 13-73 years) wit...
متن کاملComputed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging: past, present and future.
The aims of this paper are to summarize the current recommendations for the use of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the chest and to suggest some possible future developments. The main developments of CT in the chest have been the introduction of high-resolution CT (HRCT), spiral CT and, more recently, multidetector spiral CT. HRCT is defined as thin-section CT (...
